The Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS) Chapter in Quang Tri province held the 6th congress on April 24.
Attending the congress included Most Venerable Chairman of the VBS’s Executive Council Thích Thiện Nhơn.
The one-day event elected 65 members to the new-term VBS Executive Committee for the 2017 – 2022 tenure and 19 members to the Executive Committee’s standing board, with Most Venerable Thích Thiện Tấn reelected as the Committee Chairman.
With the motto "Stabilization - Consolidation - Development", the VBS Chapter in Quang Tri province would continue to promote the spirit of great national unity, well conduct religious practices in accordance with the law.
