A delegation from Ethnic Minority and Development Newspaper in collaboration with the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS) Chapter in Quang Binh has organized a charity program to present supports to Van Kieu ethnic groups in communes of Kim Thuy and Lam Thuy of Le Thuy district and Truong Son commune of Quang Ninh district.
Joining the charity delegation on occasion of the 65th anniversary of President Hồ Chí Minh’s visit to Quang Binh province (June 16) included representatives from the newspaper’s editorial board, Deputy Director of Home Affairs Department Nguyễn Thị Kim Lan, Venerable Thích Trúc Thái Minh, Vice Chairman of the provincial VBS Chapter, and representatives from Le Thuy district authorities.
During the visits, the delegation presented 21 computers, 16 televisions, 4 medical cabinets, 4 generators, 17 loudspeakers, etc, worth over 500 million VND to 58 prestigious people and local residents of Van Kieu ethnic group in the three communes.
