On June 26, a delegation of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS)’s Executive Board in Quang Binh province’s Quang Ninh district paid a charity visit to families of the Bru-Van Kieu ethnic group in the district’s Na Lam Village.
During the visit, the delegation presented nine gift packages (each gift pack worth 850 thousand VND) to nine Bru-Van Kieu ethnic families in the locality; each gift set included rice, noodle, cooking oil, clothes, medicines, other necessities and 200,000 VND in cash.
Na Lam is one of the most difficult villages in Quang Ninh district’s Truong Xuan Commune, close to the Vietnam-Laos border. Currently, all 09 households with 35 people in the village have no access to electricity, road, clean water and medical clinic.
