The Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS) chapter in Da Nang City successfully held its 6th congress (2022-2027 term) on July 7 at Phap Lam pagoda, with the participation of over 400 Buddhist delegates in the city.

Guests at the congress included Chairman of the municipal People’s Committee Lê Trung Chinh, Chairman of the municipal Commission for Mass Mobilization Lê Văn Trung, and Chairman of the municipal Committee for Religious Affairs Nguyễn Cao Cường.
The one-day congress elected the 67-member executive committee of the VBS chapter in Da Nang for the 6th term, headed by Most Venerable Thích Thiện Toàn.
During the event, the VBS executive committee in the 5th term and four outstanding Buddhists in Da Nang were presented with certificates of recommendation by the municipal People’s Committee for their social charitable contributions during the 2017-2022 term.
