The eight-day event taking place in Ngoc Giang monastery located in the city’s Thanh Khê district aimed to strengthen the spirit of harmony and serenity, and promote exchanges of practicing methods for Buddhist monks.

At the opening ritual of the event, locals in the city were deeply impressed by silent lines of saffron-robed monks walking down the streets toward Ngoc Giang monastery when they conducted the morning procession of collecting alms, replicating the tradition during the Buddha’s time.
