Tien Giang provincial leader extends Christmas greetings to Catholics and Protestants

A delegation from Tien Giang province authorities led by Mr. Trần Thế Ngọc, Secretary of the provincial Party Committee paid a Christmas visit to My Tho diocese Cathedral on Dec. 19.

At the visit, Mr. Trần Thế Ngọc extended best wishes and happy Christmas to Catholic dignitaries and followers in the diocese. He also highlighted contributions made by dignitaries and followers in the diocese and expressed his hope that Catholic dignitaries would guide followers to practice their religion and live “better secular and religious life”

Bishop Peter Nguyễn Văn Khảm thanked the delegation for the Christmas visit and affirmed that he would guide followers to well observe the laws, actively participate in movements for construction and development in the locality.

The same day, Mrs. Trần Kim Mai, Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee visited the provincial Representatives Committee of the Evangelical Church of Vietnam (Southern).

While receiving the guest, Pastor Trần Thiên Tứ, Head of the Representative Committee expressed that he would further encourage followers to practice the religion in accordance with the laws and proactively participate in movements for community development in the locality.
