On December 24, the Verity Caodai Church held the 4th Humanity Congress for 2015-2020 tenure in Tien Giang province’s My Tho city.
Attending the congress included members of the Church’s Executive Council, the church’s representative committee in provinces, and dignitaries, deacons and followers inside and outside the province.
State guests at the event included Vice Chairman of the Government Committee for Religious Affairs (GCRA) Trần Tấn Hùng, representatives of the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Mass Mobilization, Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee, Ministry for Public Security, and local authorities.
It’s reported that, for the last tenure, the Verity Caodai Church has recorded many good results in religious affairs, including the organization of doctrinal classes for about 50,000 participants, publishing nearly 2,000 copies of Caodai religious scriptures.
The Church’s dignitaries also encouraged followers to actively participate in patriotic emulations, maintain traditional medicine clinics, and conduct charitable activities. It’s reported that, during the year, Caodai followers organized health checks and free distribution of medicines for about 2,700 people, took care for three Vietnam heroic mothers, and provided supports to the poor and disaster relief... with the total funding of nearly VND 4 billion.

The 4th Humanity Congress also elected 15 members for the new-term Executive Council with Mr. Lê Văn Long as Vice Chairman of the Church’s Executive Council.
