Tien Giang province: Tan Hoi Dong Caodai parish starts work for Mother Buddha worshipping sanctuary

On August 3, the Managing Board of Tan Hoi Dong Caodai parish in Tien Giang province held a ceremony to kick off the construction of the Mother Buddha Worshipping sanctuary.
Attending the ceremony were Priest Thượng Ẩn Thanh, Head of the Tien Giang provincial Representative Committee of the Caodai Tay Ninh Church, dignitaries, deacons and followers from 29 parishes inside and outside the province.
Local guests at the ceremony included Vice Chairman of the provincial Committee for Religious Affairs Trần Văn Khuê and local authorities’ representatives.
The Mother Buddha Worshipping sanctuary of Tan Hoi Dong parish was first built in 1960 with simple materials, upgraded many times, and now seriously degraded. In order to meet the aspiration of Cao Đài dignitaries and followers in the locality, local authorities has approved a plan by the management board of the Tan Hoi Dong Caodai parish to restore the sanctuary.
Speaking at the ceremony, Priest Thượng ẨnThanh highly appreciated favorable conditions created by local authorities as well as reminded Tan Hoi Dong Caodai commune to observe the law and ensure safety during the construction of the sanctuary/
