On June 23 2014, the Management Board of Caodai commune in Ward 4, Go Cong town under Caodai Tay Ninh Church held a stone-laying ceremony for the reconstruction of its mosque.
Attending the ceremony were Trần Văn Lâm – Vice Chairman of Go Cong town People’s Committee, Cardinal Thượng Tám Thanh, Head of the Executive Council of the Caodai Tay Ninh Church, representatives from local authorities and dignitaries, deacons and followers inside and outside the locality.
The mosque in War 4 was built in 1946 with simple materials and upgraded many times and now the mosque seriously degrades. In order to meet the aspiration of Cao Đài dignitaries and followers in ward 4, the management board of the Caodai commune proposed, and was then approved by local authorities, to restore the mosque.
In his speech at the ceremony, on behalf of the Church, Cardinal Thượng Tám Thanh highly appreciated favorable conditions created by local authorities as well as reminded the Caodai commune in Ward 4 to keep practicing the religion in accordance with the law
