Tien Giang province: Southwest Steering Committee meets with Buddhist dignitaries in 2013

In July, 2013 the Southwest Steering Committee, the Tien Giang provincial Party Committee’s Commission for Mass Mobilization and the Committee for Religious Affairs under Department of Home Affairs jointly held a meeting with Buddhist dignitaries 2013 at the lecture hall of the provincial Buddhist Executive Board of headquarter (Vinh Trang pagoda, My Phong commune, My Tho city)
The meeting was mixed with Buddhist Summer Retreat programme, the meeting drew the participants of 150 Buddhists dignitaries.
At the event, Mr. Truong Hoan Trung, Deputy Director of the provincial department of Home Affairs, heads of its Committee for religious Affairs, briefed the guests on the religious and ethnic situations of the Southwestern region, the Party and State’s viewpoints on religious; implemented Decree. 92/2012/NĐ – CP detailing and providing measures to implement the Ordinance on Belief and Religion
