A ceremony for formally establishing Song Binh Church and appointing Evangelist Lê Trung Tuấn as its Superintendent was held on July 22 at its church in Tien Giang province’s Cho Gao district.
The event was co-organized by the Protestant Representative Committee in Tien Giang province and Ap Bac Protestant Church, and attended by Pastor Member of the Evangelical Church of Vietnam (ECVN) (South) Executive Committee Trần Thanh Dũng, and large numbers of pastors and Protestant followers.
During the ceremony, Pastor Trần Thanh Dũng proclaimed the decision on superintendent appointment and handed over the official seal to the new superintendent. Representatives of the ECVN (South) and local authorities also presented congratulatory flowers to new Superintendent Lê Trung Tuấn.
Song Binh Protestant Congregation was registered with local authorities in 2010 and was promoted as a chapter of the ECVN (South) in 2015. Tien Giang provincial People’s Committee officially recognized Song Binh Protestant Chapter under the Evangelical Church of Vietnam (South) on April 27, 2016.
