Tien Giang province: My Tho Cathedral holds ceremony for late Bishop Andrew Nguyễn Văn Nam

On March 16, My Tho Cathedral held a solemn ceremony commemorating the 10th anniversary of the death (2006-2016) of Bishop Andrew Nguyễn Văn Nam, former Bishop of My Tho diocese.
The ceremony saw the attendance of Archbishop of Ho Chi Minh city Archdiocese cum President of the Catholic Bishops' Conference of Vietnam Bùi Văn Đọc, Bishop of My Tho diocese Peter Nguyễn Văn Khảm, 90 priests and over 1,000 Catholics in the locality.
Bishop Andrew Nguyễn Văn Nam was born in 1922 and was appointed as Bishop My Tho diocese from 1989 to 1999 by the Vatican. Bishop Andrew Nguyễn Văn Nam was well respected by the diocese’s followers for his devotion and contribution to the diocese’s faith life and local community development.
