Tien Giang province: ceremony held for inauguration and consecration of church in An Thai Trung parish

On October 9th, 2014, at An Thai Trung parish church (hamlet 2, An Thai Trung commune, Cai Be district, Tien Giang province) a solemn ceremony was held to inaugurate and consecrate the parish church.

Local guests at the ceremony included Mr. Trần Văn Khuê, Vice Chairman of the Tien Giang provincial Committee for Religious Affairs, representatives from the Home Affairs Department of Cai Be district and authorities of An Thai Trung commune.

The ceremony was chaired by Bishop Nguyễn Văn Khảm of My Tho diocese and attended by priests from My Tho diocese, parishes in the province and more than 400 followers.

An Thai Trung church, administered by Priest Nguyễn Ngô Tri, has a total area of 7483 m2, including 470 m2 of a worship building and 2095 m2 of residential and supporting facilities.
