Tien Giang province: ceremony held for inauguration and consecration of Cho Bung Catholic church

On October 25th, 2014, at Cho Bung Catholic parish (Village 1, Tam Hiep commune, Chau Thanh district, Tien Giang province), a ceremony was solemnly held for inauguration and consecration of Cho Bung church.

The ceremony was presided by Bishop Peter Nguyen Van Kham of My Tho diocese and joint by 25 priests and more than 1000 clergy and followers.

Representatives from the provincial Committee for Religious Affairs, the People’s Committees of Chau Thanh district and Tam Hiep commune attended and presented congratulatory flowers to the parish.

In his speech at the ceremony, on behalf of Cho Bung parish’s followers, Priest Jean Baptiste Nguyễn Văn Khanh, Chairman of the Pastoral Council joyfully expressed his thanks to local authorities and benefactors for supporting and creating favourable conditions for the parish to build its new church.
