Cai Lay district Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS) has over 11,100 Buddhists with 120 monks and nuns and 49 worshipping places.
During the 8th term (2011-2016), Buddhist monks, nuns and followers in the district actively participated in building charity houses, provision of health care and free medical examination to the poor, orphans and Vietnam heroic mothers, etc, with the total contribution of over 23 VND billion.

To acknowledge Buddhists’ social contributions, on occasions of the Buddhist Congress for 2016 – 2021 tenure of Cai Lay district VBS, the provincial and district Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees presented certificates of merit to two collectives and five individuals for their outstanding contributions in social and charitable activities in the locality.
