The exhibition “President Ho Chi Minh and Russia - Archives and Records” opens

On November 6, at the Ho Chi Minh Museum, 19 Ngoc Ha Street, Ba Dinh District, Vietnam’s archival authorities in collaboration with the Federal Archival Agency of Russia opened the exhibition “President Ho Chi Minh and Russia - Archives and Records”

Attending the exhibition opening ceremony included Deputy Minister of Home Affairs Phạm Dũng, Director General of State Archives Department Vũ Thị Minh Hương, Director General of the Federal Archival Agency of Russia Andrei Artizov, and representatives from Russian Embassy in Hanoi.

 The exhibition “President Ho Chi Minh and Russia - Archives and Records is part of the celebrations of the 97th anniversary of the Russian October Revolution (1917-2014) and the 65th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Russia (1950-2015).
The event aims to provide historical facts on the late President’s life and his cause, as well as consolidate the traditional relations between Vietnam and Russia.

The Exhibition introduced over 200 documents, photographs and objects from the time President Ho Chi Minh lived and worked in the former Soviet Union.   

The exhibition is divided into three sections, with a focus on President Ho Chi Minh and his journey to find the way to liberate Vietnam (1911-1945); the friendship between Vietnam and the Soviet Union during the time Ho Chi Minh was President of Vietnam (1945-1969) and important documents on cooperation between Vietnam and the Former Soviet Union singed by the Vietnamese leader. 

The exhibition will close on December 5.
