The Cao Dai Correct Path Church organizes the annual 89th Humanity Council congress

On August 10th, 2014, at Ben Tre Holy See (No. 100 Truong Dinh, ward 6, Ben Tre city, Ben Tre province), the Caodai Correct Path Church organized the annual 89th Humanity Council congress.

Attending the congress were Cardinal Võ Văn Nho; dignitaries from the Standing Committee of the Church; representatives from the provincial Committee for Religious Affairs, the Ben Tre province’s Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and 303 delegates from 178 parishes in 19 provinces and cities.

Archbishop Nguyễn Văn Tấn, Head of the Humanity Council chaired the congress. According to the Charter of the Caodai Correct Path Church, the Humanity Council has to monitor religious activities of the Church and religious practice by followers at parishes. Each year, the Caodai Correct Path Church organizes the annual Humanity Council congress to understand aspirations and record achievements of the Church in order to report to the Upper Council and Church Council.

 In the 88th religious year, followers at parishes have contributed to the successful implementation of the Church’s annual religious program. During the year, 7,000 followers have attended the doctrinal classes; there have been 1,025 converted to the religion, charity activities with the total of nearly 5 billion VND; provision of health care, free examination and check-up…

 Speaking at the congress, Cardinal Võ Văn Nho, member of the Upper Council recorded good achievements by followers at localities in the 88th religious year and encouraged religious dignitaries and followers to successfully implement the Church’s program for religious activities in 89th religious year, including:  reconstruction of the Holy See, strengthening of dignitaries of the Church and the parishes, overcoming difficulties and obstacles and strengthening of faith in the whole Church in 2015.
