On March 4 2014, the Biblical and Theological Institute under the Evangelical Church of Vietnam (Southern) in District 2, Ho Chi Minh city held a ceremony to start academic year 2014. This year is the 3rd year for the 5th course and 2nd year for 6th course with total of 147 students and 18 lecturers who will teach in two semesters in 8 months
Attending the ceremony were Pastor Phan Vĩnh Cự - President of the Church, Pastor Thái Phước Trường – the first Vice - Chairman cum Director of the Biblical and Theological Institute and pastors in the Executive Board of the General Church, Management Board of the Institute, Protestant Representative Board of Ho Chi Minh city, all students of the 5th and 6th courses and followers in the region.
The Biblical and Theological Institute is established in 2003. After 11 years of construction and development, the Institute has enrolled 6 courses with about 500 students, in which more than 300 students have graduated.
