Thanh Hoa’s Congregation of the Lovers of the Holy Cross holds a ceremony for Thanksgiving and Perpetual Vow

On June 7th, 2014, at Thanh Hoa diocese’s Cathedral Church, a ceremony was held for thanksgiving of Golden Jubilee of Professional Vow for 3 nuns and Perpetual Vow making for 8 nuns of the Lovers for the Holy Cross of Thanh Hoa.

The ceremony was presided over by Bishop Joseph Nguyễn Năng, and joint by more than 40 priests inside and outside the diocese. Attending the ceremony were seminarians, Catholic believers and Congregation of the Lover of the Holy Cross of Thanh Hoa, and a large number of followers from parishes in the diocese.

Golden Jubilee is the 50th perpetual vow making anniversary. These nuns have dedicated their whole life and made much contribution to the development of the congregation in the diocese. After making the perpetual vow, the general supervisory nun welcomed 8 nuns as official members of the congregation in order to jointly develop the Congregation of Lovers of the Holy Cross of Thanh Hoa.

In his preach, Bishop Joseph Nguyễn Năng helped nuns further realize the significant and positive meaning of a consecrated life: a life path of love, a dedication to the Lord, opening of hearts to embrace everyone.
