On September 15, Sister Secretary of the Committee on Charitable and Social Actions - Caritas Vietnam in Thanh Hoa province Teresa Nguyễn Thị Châu handed over 15 bicycles to poor pupils of Muong ethnic group from Banh Phu Parish under Song Mã Deanery.
The handover of these bicycles, and other five bikes for poor students who are studying in Thanh Hoa province, was sponsored by the Francis Caritas in the U.S.
Bang Phu Parish in Thanh Hoa province’s Thach Thanh district is about 75km from Thanh Hoa Cathedral in the Northwest and 99 percent of the parish population is Muong ethnic minorities. Currently, the parish is home to over 2,500 Catholic followers.
