Thanh Da parish located in Nghe An province’s Quynh Luu district held on May 20 an Eucharistic adoration mass.
The event also marked the beginning of the second 100-year cycle of the parish Eucharistic adoration mass.
Attending the event included Auxiliary Bishop of Vinh diocese Peter Nguyễn Văn Viên, a large number of priests and more than 8,000 Catholic followers.
The event reiterated the importance of the Eucharistic adoration mass through Catholic sacraments, rituals, and sermons.
Earlier, Bishop of Vinh diocese Alfonso Nguyễn Hữu Long visited and performed the sacrament of Confirmation to 162 children in the parish on May 17.
Thanh Da parish under Vang Mai Cua Lo vicariate was established in 1914 as split from Cam Truong parish in Quynh Luu district. The parish currently has three Catholic communities of Thanh Da, Thanh Binh and Thanh Tan with more than 7,800 followers, head by priest Paul Trần Ngọc Du.
