A meeting to review Buddhists activities in 2014 and approve a working program for 2015 was held on Dec. 4 at Tu Xuyen pagoda in Hoang Dieu ward, Thai Binh city.
Attending the meeting were Most Venerable Thích Thanh Định, Vice-Chairman of Thai Binh provincial Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS) Executive Committee, members of the provincial VBS Executive Committee, monks and nuns, abbots in the locality.
Local authorities at the meeting included Mr. Nguyễn Văn Dân, Chairman of Thai Binh city Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, Mr. Trần Khắc Chế, Deputy Chief of Thai Binh city Police.
Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Nguyễn Văn Dân expressed his hope that monks and nuns will promote fine traditions of Buddhism in Thai Binh city and work towards “better secular and religious life”.
During the meeting, Venerable Thích Thanh Vượng, Vice-Chairman of Thai Binh provincial VBS Executive Committee reminded monks and nuns to cultivate themselves and observe six Buddhist principles for harmony and well perform Buddhist affairs.
