Attending the competition were teams from the diocese’s deaneries contesting in football, table tennis, badminton and tabletop football.

The event’s opening ceremony saw the participation of Bishop Peter Nguyễn Văn Đệ of Thai Binh.

In his opening speech, the Bishop stressed the purpose of the sport program is to encourage exercise and physical training amongst children and youth in the diocese, and promote positive and humane lifestyles, as well as create a playground for sport exchanges in a fair-play manner.
