Cardinal Nguyễn Văn Nhơn chaired the Jubilee Year ceremony at Thai Binh diocese on occasion of its 80th anniversary on March 19.
Attending the ceremony were Archbishop Leopoldo Girelli non - resident Special Envoy of the Vatican to Vietnam; Bishop Nguyễn Văn Đệ of Thai Binh diocese; Bishop Joseph Nguyễn Văn Thiên of Hai Phong diocese and over 100 priests, religious, seminarians and followers inside and outside of the diocese.
During the event, Archbishop Leopoldo Girelli urged Catholics of Thai Binh diocese to promote its fine traditions and make further developments in the years ahead.
The Jubilee Year to celebrate the 80th founding anniversary of Thai Binh diocese will take place from March 19, 2015 to April 29, 2016.
