Tay Ninh province: Provincial VBS sub-committee for nun affairs reviews its performance 2015

The Sub-committee for Nun Affairs under Tay Ninh provincial Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS) Executive Committee reviewed its performance 2015 and worked out plans of activities for 2016 at a meeting held on January 13 in Ngoc Ninh pagoda in the province.
Attending the meeting were Most Venerable Thích Huệ Tâm, Vice Chairman of the provincial VBS Executive Committee, Nun Thích Nữ Châu Liên, Deputy Head of Nun Affairs Sub-committee, and a large numbers of Buddhist nuns and followers in the locality.
Local authorities’ representatives at the event included Vice Chairman of the provincial Committee for Religious Affairs Nguyễn Vĩnh Thế and Vice Chairman of the provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee Nguyễn Thị Minh Lý.
Speaking at the meeting, Vice Chairman Nguyễn Vĩnh Thế praised Buddhist nuns for their practical contributions and encouraged the Division of Nuns Affairs to continue promoting fine traditions for socio-economic development in the locality.
