A ceremony to celebrate the 45th founding anniversary of Phuoc Dien parish in Chau Thanh district, Tay Ninh province under Phu Cuong diocese was solemnly held on December 26.
The event was presided by Bishop Nguyễn Tấn Tước of Phu Cuong dicoese and attended by Chief priest of Phuoc Dien parish Nguyễn Văn Ri and nearly 1,000 Catholics in the locality.
Local guests at the event included Vice Chairman of the Tay Ninh provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee Phan Văn Thái and Vice Chairman of the provincial Committee for Religious Affairs Nguyễn Vĩnh Thế.
Currently, the parish has over 1,000 followers and a spacious, modern church. The parish also runs a social sponsoring centre currently taking care of 22 old people.
