Ninh Phuoc Caodai parish in Ninh Thanh district solemnly held a ground-breaking ceremony for the construction of the temple worshipping Mother Buddha on May 29.
Attending the ceremony were Cardinal Thượng Tám Thanh, President of the Caodai Tay Ninh Church and about 1,000 followers inside and outside Tay Ninh province.
Local guests at the event included Head of the Caodaism Affairs Division under the provincial Committee for Religious Affairs Trần Thanh Đồng.
Ninh Phuoc parish was established in 1961. As the parish’s oratory was built by temporary materials, its Mother Buddha worshipping temple degraded after over 50 years of existence. In early 2015, local authorities approved for parish’s management board to kick off the construction of its new Mother Buddha worshipping temple.
