Tay Ninh province: Ngoc Nhu monastery inaugurates main worshipping facility

On April 27, 2014 Ngoc Nhu monastery held a ceremony to inaugurate its main worshipping facility at Cau Truong village, Hao Duoc commune, Chau Thanh district, Tay Ninh province

Attending the ceremony were Mr. Nguyễn Thanh Pha – Vice Chairman of the provincial Mass Mobilization Committee; Mr. Trang Văn Hải, Deputy Director of Home Affairs, Chairman of Tay Ninh province Committee for Religious Affairs; Most Venerable Thích Giác Tường, standing member of the Discernment Council, Master of the Buddhist Bhiksu Sect, representatives from authorities, Buddhist dignitaries and followers.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Trang Văn Hải highly appreciated the contribution of Ven. Thich Huệ Chơn (Sư Đăng) – Abbot of the pagoda, and Buddhists in Ngoc Nhu monastery. He also expressed his hope that the Abbot will continue to guide Buddhists to preserve and promote their traditional values, actively take part in the movements in locality, well observe the policy and guideline of the State and live for the “good life, good religion”.

At the ceremony, Most Venerable Thích Huệ Tâm – Deputy Head of the Executive Board of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha of Tay Ninh province thanked authorities for its care and hoped that the Management Board of Ngoc Nhu monastery will continue to help Buddhists to practice Buddhism in accordance with the laws and dharma.

The worshipping facility has been completed after 4 years of construction with the costs of 6 billion VND.
