The Representative Committee of the Islamic Community in Tay Ninh province solemnly held a ceremony on June 1 to celebrate the Ramadan festival 2016 (Islamic Calendar 1437) at Darul Naim Lil Muslimin mosque.
Attending the event included Chairman of the provincial Committee for Religious Affairs Võ Thành Công, representatives of local authorities, and over 200 Islamic dignitaries and followers from seven mosques in the locality.
On this occasion, Deputy Head of the Islamic community’s Representative Committee in Ho Chi Minh city cum special envoy for social charity of the Embassy of the United Arab Emirates in Hanoi city Mohamed You Sof presented VND 10 million to each mosque in Tay Ninh province and 20kg of rice to each poor Cham family. In addition, Member of the Representative Committee in Ho Chi Minh city in charge of education Ab Duan Rah Mal also made cash donation to the management board of mosques in the province.
