The event saw the attendance of Most Venerable Thích Niệm Thới, Member of the Central VBS Executive Council cum Vice Chairman of Tay Ninh provincial VBS Executive Committee and Chairman of Tay Ninh city’s VBS Executive Board for 2011-2016 tenure, and large numbers of Buddhist dignitaries and followers in the locality.

As reported at the congress, Tay Ninh city’s VBS Executive Board has recorded good results in both social and Buddhist affairs. For the 5^th tenure, social charitable activities have been carried out with the total value of over VND 53 billion, of which 52 billion VND came from Nui Ba Pagoda complex administered by Superior Nun Thích nữ Diệu Nghĩa.

The congress elected eight members of the city’s VBS Executive Board for the new tenure with Most Venerable Thích Niệm Thới re-elected as its Chairman. The Congress also approved the working plan for the new tenure, focusing on guiding religious practices according to Buddhist Dharma and promoting social charitable activities in the locality. 

On this occasion, the provincial VBS Executive Committee presented certificates of merit to the Tay Ninh city’s VBS Executive Board for 2011-2016 tenure and several individuals for their contributions in Buddhist affairs in the last tenure.
