On November 30, at its oratory office in Tay Ninh city, the Representative Committee under the Tay Ninh Caodai Church in Tay Ninh province held a meeting to review results of religious affairs 2015 and approve the working plan for 2016.
Attending the meeting were Bishop Head of the Tay Ninh Caodai Church’s Representative Committee Thái Thọ Thanh, dignitaries of the Representative Committee, and representatives of the Management Board of 75 Caodai parishes in the locality.
Local guests at the event included Vice Chairman of the provincial Committee for Religious Affairs Trang Văn Hải and local authorities’ representatives.
The meeting reviewed results of the Committee’s religious affairs in 2015 (90th religious year). As reported, during the year, the Committee has helped the Church in successfully organizing of Dieu Tri festival and receiving four religious delegations of Japanese Oomoto religion and Xian Tian Dao sects form Taiwan, Malaysia and Singapore, as well as opening nine religious training courses for nearly 1,400 deacons from 75 Caodai parishes in Tay Ninh province. In addition, the Representative Committee encouraged Caodai dignitaries, deacons and followers from the local parishes to actively participate in social charity activities in the locality with a total amount of more than VND11 billion.
Speaking at the event, Mr. Trang Văn Hải acknowledged typical achievements over the year by dignitaries of the Representative Committee and Management Board from the local parishes. He also expressed hope that the dignitaries would continue to guide followers to practice the religion according the motto for “better religious and secular life” and “the nation is glorious, the Way enlightens”.
