Tay Ninh Caodai church opens Divine God festival 2022

The Tay Ninh Caodai Church opened on February 8 the Divine God festival of Caodai Faith at the main stadium in the Church’s Holy See.

The annual event held on the eighth of the first lunar month is one of the most important festivals of Caodai faith, along with the Yen Dieu Tri Cung festival annually held on the full month of the eighth lunar month.

The event saw the presence of Cardinal Thượng Tám Thanh, Head of the Caodai church’s central Executive Committee, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Tay Ninh provincial Party’s Committee Phạm Hùng Thái, Chairman of the provincial Committee for Religious and Ethnic Affairs Võ Thành Công.

During the event, participants enjoyed dancing performances of four mythical creatures in Vietnamese culture (dragon, unicorn, turtle and phoenix), and a procession through the East and West stands of the Caodai oratory.

The event also featured a 25-booth exhibition displaying models of several national heroes, folk tales, musical instruments and activities of the Caodai Church, etc., including one exhibition booth created by overseas Caodai followers.

The exhibition lasts until February 15 with a strict implementation of measures for the Covid-19 prevention.
