Hoa Hao Buddhism in Tien Giang province has over 2,000 followers, most of which are farmers with one representatives committee and 15 commune-level-executive boards
In 2015, under the leadership of the provincial Hoa Hoa Buddhist Executive Committee, Hoa Hoa Buddhists in the locality conducted many religious activities with practical results:
Forty-one meetings on religious teachings were organized for over 4,000 followers; 132 followers attended a religious administrative training, 504 dignitaries and followers attended classes on religious tenets, etc.
The representative committee and executive boards proactively participated in movements launched by local authorities for the social –economic development, as well as conducted charitable programs for the poor with a total value of over 2.6 VND billion.
