Social Sciences & Humanities University in HCMC studies religious life in Ben Tre

A delegation of the Social Sciences and Humanities Univiersity under the Ho Chi Minh City National University visited Ben Tre province on March 4 for studying the religious life in the province.  

The delegation visit led by Assoc. Prof. Huỳnh Ngọc Thu, Head of the university’s Anthropology Faculty, aimed at improving practical studies of religion in the country.

During the visit, the delegation had exchanges on the religious life and the relationship between the religious practices and the economic life in communities with the provincial committee for religious affairs and the executive committee of the Ante-creation Caodai Church in Ben Tre.

As reported, Ben Tre province currently has 14 operative organizations of nine religions of Buddhism, Catholicsm, Protestantism, Caodaism (six dominations), Hoa Hao Buddhism, Four Debts of Gratitude Faith, Buu Son Ky Huong Faith, Minh Su Faith and Lay Pure-land Buddhism.
