Seventh-Day Adventist Church of Vietnam convenes general assembly

From December 10-12, the Seventh-Day Adventist Church of Vietnam held the third general assembly for the 2015-2020 tenure in Ho Chi Minh city.

Attending the event were Pastor Secretary General of the Vietnam Seventh-Day Adventist Church Trần Thanh Truyện, Pastor President of the Southeast Asia Union Mission Mok Joshua Wone, pastors, commissioned pastors, evangelists and followersof the Church across the country.

Joining at the conference included Vice Chairmen of the Government Committee for Religious Affairs Bùi Thanh Hà and Trần Tấn Hùng.

Speaking at the general assembly, Vice Chairman Bùi Thanh Hà praised the Church’s achievements in the past years and expressed hope that the Church’ dignitaries and followers would make further practical contributions to socio-economic development in the new term.

The Seventh-Day Adventist Church was granted religious organizational status by Vietnam government in 2008. Currently, the Church has nearly 16,000 followers from 32 provinces and cities nationwide.
