The Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) Central Committee held on October 5 a seminar on promoting roles of the VFF in mobilization and unity of religions in Thua Thien Hue province
The seminar was co-chaired by Head of the Religious Affairs Department under the VFF Central Committee Nguyễn Văn Thanh and Vice Chairman of the provincial VFF Hoàng Trọng Bình, and attended by dignitaries representing from religious organizations of Buddhism, Catholicism, Caodaism and Protestantism in the province.
During the meeting, delegates focused on discussion of specific issues including the participation of the VFF in building the religious policies and laws, the role of the VFF as a bridge between religion and state authorities, mobilization of dignitaries and followers to participate in patriotic emulation movements and campaigns, as well as related issues for strengthening religious unity in the great national unity bloc and building the prosperous country.
According to Head Nguyễn Văn Thanh, the seminar was part of a Politburo’s project on promoting mobilization and unity of religions in Vietnam and being implemented by the VFF in collaboration by concerning central ministries and agencies.
