As part of Tran temple festival 2019, the seal-opening ceremony will take place on the night of February 18 (the 14th day of the first lunar month).
As announced at the press meeting held on January 21, the temple will distribute lucky seals among locals and visitors starting at 5am on February 19.
According to Vice Chairwoman of Nam Dinh city People’s Committee Phạm Thị Oanh, the festival organizing board will ensure providing a sufficient number of lucky seals to locals and visitors during this year festival.
The festival organizing board will also install 16 cameras inside the Thien Truong temple area where the seal-opening ceremony to take place in order to detect and promptly address any violation of laws in the festival activities. Inspection delegations will also be set up to check the compliance with regulations on parking of autos and motors, as well as other services providers for ensuring food and traffic safety during the festival, and preventing bad behaviors.
This year festival will be kicked off on the 11th day of the first lunar month (February 15) and will conclude on the 16th day (February 20). The festival features many worshiping rituals and traditional activities include Ngoc Lo procession, water procession, lion dance, Cheo performance, etc…
Tran temple festival is a long tradition of Vietnamese for honoring merits of Tran dynasty who led people successfully fighting off the Mongols in three consecutive wars.
