Scientific conference on Buddhism in Vietnam Central held

On March 25, Quang Binh University in collaboration with the Viet Nam National Institute of Cultural and Art Studies in Hue city and Lieu Quan Buddhist Centre held a conference on social science and Buddhist culture in the Vietnam’s North Central.

Attending the conference were scholars working in social fields such as history, philosophy, theology, culture, anthropology, geography, language, etc, and representatives from concerned departments.

At the conference, scientists and researchers engaged in discussion of topics including introduction and development of Buddhism in Quang Binh province, values of interactions between Buddhism and the Champa culture in Quang Binh province, Buddhist relics along Gianh river, Buddhist belief in the culture of Nguon ethnic group, etc.
