On November 9th, 2014, the Central Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in collaboration with the National Traffic Safety Committee and Ministry of Transport held a requiem to pray for the victims of traffic accidents 2014 at Vinh Nghiem pagoda, Ho Chi Minh city.
Attending the ceremony were Mr. Đinh La Thăng, Minister of the Ministry of Transport; Mr. Phạm Dũng, Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Home Affairs cum Chairman of the Government Committee for Religious Affairs and representatives from Central agencies and local authorities.
Speaking at the requiem ceremony, Minister of Transport Đinh La Thăng called upon agencies at all levels, organizations, and members of the public to raise awareness and observance of regulations for traffic safety and order.
