Religious course at Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics organizes study tour in Yen Bai

A delegation of trainees majoring in the state management on religious affairs from the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics organized on March 30 a study tour in Yen Bai province’s Tran Yen district.
The delegation led by Assoc. Prof., Dr. Lê Tâm Đắc, Deputy Director of the Institute for Religious Studies under the academy had an exchange meeting with Tran Yen district authorities and visited several religious worshipping places in the district.
Purpose of the study tour is to learn about the religious life and the state governance on religions in the district.
During the exchange meeting, the district authorities informed the state administration on religious affairs as well as practical issues relating to religious affairs in the locality, including the construction of worshipping facilities, religion-related land use rights and the grant of certificate of land use rights for religious and belief establishments.
Currently, Tran Yen district is home to two religions of Catholicism and Buddhism, with over 8,000 followers and 25 religious worshipping places.
