A delegation of the Committee for Religious Affairs in Kien Giang province led by Chairman Danh Lắm on April 23 visited several Buddhist dignitaries in the province, on occasion of Vesak Day 2020 (PL.2564 – Dl.2020).
The delegation visited and met with Buddhist dignitaries at Buddhist pagodas in Kien Giang’s Giong Rieng and Go Quao districts.
During the visits, Chairman Danh Lắm extended warm Vesak celebrations to dignitaries who are members of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS)’s Central Executive Council, provincial executive committee and district-level executive boards in the province.
The provincial religious committee leader also praised efforts of the Buddhist dignitaries in guiding followers to strictly observe regulations for preventing the Covid-19 pandemic in localities.
