Government Decree 92 provided for implementation of the Ordinance on Belief and Religion was disseminated to Buddhists at a conference held in Quang Binh province on November 18.
Attending the conference were dignitaries, monks, nuns and Buddhists of Quang Binh provincial Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS) Executive Committee; representatives from the management board of Buddhist establishments and about 500 Buddhists in the locality.
Local officials at the conference included Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front provincial Committee Hoàng Văn Minh and Vice Chairman of the provincial Committee for Religious Affairs Nguyễn Duy Hạnh.
The conference, organized by Quang Binh provincial Vietnam Buddhist Sangha Executive Committee, also aimed to propagate the VBS’s Charter and the regulation of the VBS Central Committee for Buddhist Clergy./.
