Protestant chapter in Lam Dong organizes thanksgiving for retired pastor

Bao Loc chapter under the Evangelical Church of Vietnam (South) in Lam Dong province’s Bao Loc city held on April 10 a thanksgiving ceremony for retired pastor superintendent of the chapter Nguyên Hữu Thiện

Present at the ceremony included Pastor Vice President of the Evangelical church Nguyễn Hữu Bình, Pastor Member of the church’s executive committee in charge of pastoral affairs in Lam Dong Kon Să Ha Hăck, pastors from the  church’s representative committee in Lam Dong, and over 500 Protestant dignitaries, deacons and followers from localities.

Local guests at the event included Chairman of the Lam Dong provincial committee for religious affairs Ngô Văn Đức.

Speaking at the ceremony, Chairman Ngô Văn Đức praised Pastor Nguyễn Hữu Thiện for his practical contributions to social developments in Lam Dong province’s Bao Loc city. He also took the chance to extend Easter greetings to all dignitaries and followers of the evangelical church.

Pastor Nguyễn Hữu Thiện was born in 1948 in the Vietnam central province of Binh Dinh and has served a missionary in churches and congregations in the central provinces of Binh Thuan, Phu Yen and Ben Tre. Later he worked as a assistant at Can Duoc Church, and then the superintendent of Phuoc Loi Church in Long An province’s Ben Duc district. In 2011, Pastor Nguyễn Hữu Thiện was appointed by the Vietnam southern evangelical church as Superintendent of Bao Loc Protestant chapter.
