Priesthood ordainment held in Hue Archdiocese

Five deacons of Hue Archdiocese and seven clergymen from the Congregation of the Sacred Heart of Hue were solemnly promoted as priests on May 23 at a ceremony held in Phu Cam Cathedral. 

The ordination ceremony was presided over by Archbishop of Hue Archdiocese cum Chairman of the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of Vietnam Joseph Nguyễn Chí Linh, and attended by former Archbishop of Hue Archdiocese Francis Xavie Lê Văn Hồng, Priest Vicar General Anthony Dương Quỳnh, and large numbers of priests and followers in the archdiocese.

During the ceremony, Archbishop Joseph Nguyễn Chí Linh took the chance to remind the new priests of their duties to the Church and people, especially the poor, people with disadvantages and the marginalized.

Below are names of twelve new priests:

1.     Francis Xavie Ngô Văn Ái from Thuan Nhon parish

2.     Micae Nguyễn Văn Hưng from Thuan Nhon parish

3.     Dominic Trần Bá Kha from Son Cong parish

4.     John Baotixita Phan Ngọc from Quy Lai parish

5.     Paul Nguyễn Hữu Khoa from Ha Uc parish

6.     Vinh Sơn Trần Văn Duy from the Congregation of the Sacred Heart of Hue

7.     Peter Vũ Văn Hiển from the Congregation of the Sacred Heart of Hue

8.     Joseph Nguyễn Văn Thắng from the Congregation of the Sacred Heart of Hue

9.     Joseph Phạm Công Thật from the Congregation of the Sacred Heart of Hue

10.    Peter Nguyễn Văn Thể from the Congregation of the Sacred Heart of Hue

11.    Peter Vũ Văn Vượng from the Congregation of the Sacred Heart of Hue

12.    Joseph Trần Văn Yên from the Congregation of the Sacred Heart of Hue
