The Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS) will organize a press meeting on UN Day of Vesak 2019 on October 11 at Crowne Plaza Hotel, No. 56 Le Duc Tho street, My Dinh ward 2, Nam Tu Liem district, Hanoi city.
The Government Committee for Religious Affairs has issued a Document No. 657/TGCP-PG dated on June 26, 2018 on the approving of Prime Minister, central agencies and Ha Nam authorities for the VBS to host the UN Day of Vesak 2019 in Tam Chuc pagoda located in the northern province of Ha Nam.
The UN Day of Vesak will take place on May 12-14, 2019 with the theme Buddhist Approach to Global Leadership and Shared Responsibilities for Sustainable Societies.
