A press conference on human rights and foreign affairs service in May was held on June 4 in Hanoi.
The event saw the presence of Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Information and Communications Hoàng Vĩnh Bảo and representatives from relevant departments and press agencies.
Regarding religions, Lieutenant Colonel Nguyễn Hồng Phong, Deputy Director of the Homeland Security Department under the Ministry of Public Security affirmed that religious practices have taken place vibrantly throughout the country and many beautiful and spacious religious worshipping places have been built.
He also informed of illegal religious activities by unregistered foreign Protestant groups, as well as abuse of religious freedom issue to sabotage Vietnam State.
