President Trương Tấn Sang paid a visit to Thanh Son parish under Lang Son diocese on Dec. 15 to congratulate Catholics on occasion of their Christmas and New Year celebrations.
Joining the delegation was Mr. Phạm Dũng, Deputy Minister of Home Affairs cum Chairman of the Government Committee for Religious Affairs.
At the visit, President Sang extended best wishes and merry Christmas to Catholic dignitaries and followers in the parish. He also called on Catholics to promote unity, live “better secular and religious life”, and urged local authorities to pay due attention to legitimate needs of Catholics in Thanh Son parish.
