On August 4th, on the occasion of the closing ceremony of 27th summer retreat course at Phước Lâm pagoda, Tan Thong Hoi commune, Cu Chi dist, Ho Chi Minh city, Most Venerable Thích Huệ Nghi, Head of the Executive Board of Cu Chi district’s Vietnam Buddhist Sangha and an instructor of the Buddhist summer retreat course at Phước Lâm pagoda presented a contribution to the fund “For the loving Spratly island”.
At the ceremony, Most Venerable Thích Huệ Nghi presented to Mr. Bùi Xuân Điều, Vice Chairman of Cu Chi’s Vietnam Fatherland Front a contribution worth 5,000,000 VND to the fund “For the loving Spratly island and frontline of the Fatherland”.
Besides, Most Venerable Thích Tắc Lễ, Member of Ritual Commissioner of Cu Chi’s VBS and an instructor of the Buddhist summer retreat course at Phước Lâm pagoda presented to Mr. Trương Văn Long, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Tan Thong Hoi commune 1,500 kg of rice and 100 noodle boxes to poor people in Tan Thong Hoi commune; Most Venerable Thích Tắc Lễ, Abbot of Phước Lâm pagoda also handed over a charitable house worth 40 million VND to a poor family in Tan Thong Hoi commune.
