Phan Thiet diocese: Tanh Linh parish celebrates 50th anniversary

Tanh Linh parish under Phan Thiet diocese solemnly held a ceremony to celebrate its 50th anniversary on June 24.

Attending the ceremony were Bishop of Phan Thiet diocese cum Chairman of the Bishops’ Commission for Culture under the Catholic Bishops Conference of Vietnam Vũ Duy Thống, 68 priests and followers inside and outside the parish

Currently, Tanh Linh parish is now home to 896 Catholic households with 2,730 people as compared with 550 Catholic followers at the time of its establishment in 1965. Today, the parish has four priests, four seminarians and nine sisters, a doctor, six high school teachers, 19 secondary school teachers, 14 elementary school teachers, 20 graduated students working in the provinces and cities and 45 students studying in the universities and colleges.
