A delegation of leaders of the Party, State, and the Viet Nam Fatherland Front on July 27 offered incense at the Monument to War Heroes and Martyrs on the occasion of the 68th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27).
The delegation included Party General Secretary Nguyễn Phú Trọng, former Party General Secretary Nông Đức Mạnh, State President Trương Tấn Sang, former State President Trần Đức Lương; Prime Minister Nguyễn Tấn Dũng, Chairman of National Assembly Nguyễn Sinh Hùng and former National Assembly Chairman Nguyễn Văn An.
The leaders expressed their deep gratitude to the great sacrifice of the heroic martyrs to the nation’s glorious revolutionary cause, national freedom and people’s happiness.
They later paid tribute to President Ho Chi Minh at his mausoleum.
Also in the morning, delegations from ministries, agencies and organizations also laid wreaths and paid tribute to late President Ho Chi Minh and war martyrs.
